Cheats & Secrets

This is the section dedicated to the things in the game that a lot of people don't know. That's right, the cheats, secrets, bugs, and glitches. We're pretty sure that most of these work, so don't be afraid to try them.

Cure a wounded sign
Have you ever chopped down a sign and then decided it looked better in one piece? If so, just play Zelda's Lullaby and the pieces will come back together!

Use any item while on Epona

When you are in the final battle with Ganon (not Gannondorf) he will knock the Master Sword out of your hands. Save and quit immediately after this happens. Then load the file you were just playing on. Link will not have a weapon equipped on the 'B' button! Now get on Epona and you can use any weapon you have equipped on one of the 'C' buttons! Remember, DO NOT equip another sword!
NOTE: This may not work on some newer gray cartridge versions.

As many bottles as you want

To get all the bottles you could ever need, go to an area where there is a fish in water (grottoes work best). Go up to the fish with a bottle equipped on one of the 'C' buttons and swipe at the fish like you are going to catch it in the bottle. In mid-swipe, puse the game and select an item you don't need (like Faroe's Wind). Equip it to the 'C' button that you have/had the bottle on and unpause the game. If you did it correctly, the item is now a bottle with a fish in it!
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT do this with weapons you need!!! (i.e. Longshot, Bow and Arrows, ect.)
